Memories of Blue Peter. I’m living in Canada now, so to see this post was wonderful. I remember those Christmas appeals for lifeboats, and water, and ….. and….. Do you remember collecting all those stamps?

Thanks for the comment. I was a ‘Blue Peter’ kid so I remember all of those appeals. I got a badge once, can’t remember what for though! I hope life in Canada is good?

When I was at junior school (1962-66) the headmaster was fanatical about collecting for RNLI. I never knew why and it was curious because the school was in Rugby which is just about as far away from the sea as you can get in England!
