That first door is most intriguing, is that a little tiny door set into the larger one?

  Yes, that’s right, so that they can open a smaller one without unbolting the whole lot. Probably stopped the heat escaping during the winter!

Spanish style is always great, especially in wood, but in this case, I like the balcony floor best. I apologize for not commenting more often, I enjoy the posts – I just don’t always have the computer time to comment. My apologies.

    I have never posted them except to mention that he liked to tell them. Dad was only a boy during the war, aged 7 to 12, and most of his stories were from contemporary accounts in ‘War Illustrated’ newspaper and some of these stories concentrated on the heroics and were not always terribly accurate. I have still got the books and the newspapers that he collected.
