Did you get Father Ted in Australia? What did people think? Did many Irish emigrate to OZ? Australia v England on Saturday – OMG!

Of course we got Father Ted. It was very popular. And yes there were a few Irish migrants here. About 30% of the population. check out http://wp.me/p50qNg-41

So many people want to be Irish. Today nearly sixty million people in the USA, almost 20% of the population, claim Irish roots and twenty-two out of forty-four of US Presidents (including Barack Abama!) have claimed Irish ancestry.

Father Ted – an absolute favourite of mine. Who could possibly forget the wonderful Mrs Doyle, the Lingerie episode, Father Jack and his, ‘Feck, drink, nunnnnnnnns…’ type language? Thanks for reminding me of a hilarious series.

I’ve never seen Father Ted but have on occasion heard about the show. Delightful choice for ‘scale’. 🙂

Thanks Tess. I am not sure how well it ‘travels’ but we like it in the UK that’s for sure!
