I am thinking the red phone booth should be in the UK no? Love the gallery and the variety of detail.
Those phone boxes crop up in the most unlikely places!

Good to see there are some old details still around… Where were these taken?
They were taken in Valletta and in Victoria, Gozo.
Thanks! So no details from Mdina….
No, not this time. Thanks Sue.
Love the photos, Andrew. I’m surprised with the bright red phone box. Seems out of place somehow, or just unexpected.
A throwback to he days of the British Empire.
We used to have these phone boxes all over the UK but they have mostly gone now. Who uses a public phone these days?
We still have the shells of ours standing here and there. I can’t understand why they haven’t been removed since the phones are all out of commission. 😦
It is the same here. Just an iconic image I guess, Rather like the RMP red tunic?
😀 😀 😀
I am intrigued by the stone shields set into the wall. I wish I could see them new, and see if there were inscriptions or designs, so I could try to guess the meaning. Why a cluster of them set together? Was the mason practicing? Were there multiple remarkable events at that site that needed to be commemorated? ha ha 🙂
It was the prison wall, so perhaps there is a sinister meaning behind them?
