As we climbed over the basalt column rocks I saw Richard taking photographs of the wild flowers and this gave me an idea! I went searching for some blooms of my own and discovered these unusual specimens.
I had never heard of ROY G BIV, I have always remembered the colours of the rainbow as Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain.
Roy G. Biv is the way I learned.

I suppose Richard of York is an English thing!

Although, I always thought Biv was a strange last name.

This is one of my favorite places in the world. I can’t wait to see it again in July. I will be able to take my parents there for the first time.

I think I was there last in 2000. I don’t even remember if there was a visitor center there back then. Thanks for the tip! Do you have to pay to get in or something?

£9 each for parking and visitor centre but access to the causeway itself is free. Car parking at the railway station is a bargain at £6 and then walk straight through to the rocks. Another way round it is to park the car and just one person buy a visitor centre ticket. Alternatively take a chance, park the car and walk through as we did.

I wondered what the Roy G Biv thing was. Thanks for helping me with that. I’d have as much trouble remembering that as the actual colors. The English version would be far easier to recall.

If an English speaker didn’t know that Roy G Biv was, imagine the rest of us! I actually liked better your version!
Great photos too.

That Roy G Biv thing doesn’t make sense to me at all. “Read Out Your Good Book In Verse” also sounds better to me.

I fell ridiculous now for having used it as my blog title! Your 2nd version is fabulous.
