Sometimes it is is not necessary to travel huge distances to visit something special.
The Giant’s Causeway is a geological wonder of the World close to home in the UK consisting of about forty thousand interlocking basalt columns resulting from a volcanic eruption about sixty million years ago. Most of the columns are hexagonal in shape, but there are some with four, five, seven and eight sides.
Have Bag, Will Travel 
Still on my priority list for a trip to the UK. Extraordinary to think of volcanic forces creating such an intricate jigsaw puzzle like effect on a massive scale. I shall need to bring many batteries for my camera. 🙂

It sure is. I have a post in my head I need to write about it so I can share some of my recent photos too. I went up there with my parents and they loved it. It was a beautiful clear day while we were there. Kind of makes me want to move to Northern Ireland…

Oh. I remembered your advice vividly. But my parents wanted to go in. They wanted the restroom cafe and audio tour. It was a fleacing for sure. Last time I was there I seem to remember just walking out to the cliffs and seeing a lady selling some souvenirs on a cart. But maybe I am remembering it wrong now. The big beautiful visitors center wasn’t there for sure.
