The very rural Auberge where we were staying was situated on a minor road next to a farm and in the morning we discovered why there was so much lamb on the menu as several hundred sheep were escorted past the hotel and across the road for a day of feeding on the sea grass.

Thanks. I tried to get the reverse shot when they came off the field in the evening but the lighting was poor so I had to settle for this early morning picture.

Love the sheep juxtaposed with scenic backgrounds. Reminds me of the time we were driving in Sicily and had to stop to allow a herd of sheep to cross the road.

I remember seeing that first one already, from another blog post. It is stunning, magical, and certainly worth taking another look at.
I hope you both have (had) a great Christmas Day, and can enjoy the rest of the holiday season if I don’t get a chance to say so before the new year.
