Great colours. I really wanted to go there when I visited Morocco but just did not have time. Next time I hope. Marrakech is my second favourite souq visited….
So what was your favourite? Marrakech was good but I would say that Fez was better. There was nothing like it in Essaouira but then Marrakech didn’t have a port and a stinky fish market!
I loved Fez. It felt altogether more authentically Moroccan and far less touristy. I will never forget the Muezzin’s call there, spookily eerie – I have a recording of it which brings back the feeling in an instant.
The orange peels look so vibrant against the blue background. I wonder whether the vendor dries the peels and then turns them into orange zest (a spice)? That’s what I do with it… Thanks for stopping by Beauty Along the Road and letting me know you visited.

Yes, orange peels. They were decorating a street vendors juice stall. They caught my eye as I walked past.

I felt like I was in the film the time machine, drawn from my bed and out onto the balcony. Most surreal!

The orange peels caught my fancy. I always work on peeling them off as one peel, Andrew. 🙂 –Curt
