Yes, orange peel. It is a juice stand. The odd thing about Morocco is that shops and stalls selling exactly the same thing are always found altogether. Butchers in one place, grocers in another, hardware shops all side-by-side, competing fish restaurants all in a row and three or four of these juice bars right next to one another. It wouldn’t happen in the UK and I am guessing not in Australia either?

That is a good point John. Also Horncastle in Lincolnshire which is known for an over supply of antique shops. Horncastle is only 20 miles from Donington, the birth place of Matthew Flinders.

You must try and get a copy of “My Love Must Wait” by Ernestine Hill. It is a fantastic story about Flinders. It’s a romance and a thriller.

I do hope you enjoy it. I know Flinders is a household name in Australian History but he needs to known as the youngest Captain of a British Navy Ship and one of the greatest navigators ever and a very unfortunate man.

It is interesting that despite his achievements he is barely known at all in England. I bet no one would get a question right about him in a pub quiz. Much more famous here of course is Captain Cook!

Love all that blue. Orange peels, you say? Hmm.
Can you tell us anything about the middle picture of the fellow in the blue box? Can I assume he’s crippled in some way?

Those boxes are a sort of wheel barrow. The old town is traffic free so these guys transport goods and supplies to and from the shops and for those visitors prepared to pay they will take suitcases and bags and take them to their accommodation which can sometimes be difficult to find unaided.

So the ‘box’ isn’t enclosed on all sides and the fellow inside sat on the open edge then?

Yes, enclosed on all sides, two wheels. There is one in the header picture.
