Texture is the word that came to mind with your photos Andrew. I could feel the flaking paint on my fingertips. I hope you didn’t have to peel all those potatoes to pay for your stay. 🙂
I’m not a fan of flaking paint. I want to sand it and then paint it.
What’s with the first photo. It looks more like a window or something with shutters because there are no stairs and it’s rather high up.
Whilst researching a post I came across an interesting fact – in the nineteenth century a working man in Ireland would eat on average fourteen pounds a day – that is a lot of potatoes, roughly equivalent to two hundred and fifty bags of potato crisps!

Thanks Sue, there were some good doors on this trip for sure. I am in South Wales right now and not a photogenic door in sight!
