“Valletta equals in its noble architecture, if it does not excel, any capital in Europe. The city is one of the most beautiful, for its architecture and the splendour of its streets that I know: something between Venice and Cadiz.” Benjamin Disraeli

It is a picture Tess, I found it in the attic during a clear out session. I must have bought it about 20 years ago!

I thought it was one of your famous postcards Andrew. What a find especially having forgotten about the purchase long years prior.

There were a few more things in the attic that I had forgotten about Sue. I threw most of them away!

We are preparing to move house. Amazing how much junk you can accumulate in only 5 years!

Oh good luck with the move! We moved a few years ago after 20 years. I get the issue. 🙂

We have only been her for five years but you can accumulate a lot of junk in that time – especially with grandchildren dropping by regularly. Anyway, we are officially de-junked except for my pointless lead soldier collection!

In January I think I would stay in Valletta but be sure to visit Mdina and the island of Gozo.
I remember going to Malta one time in January and the weather was so good we were sitting around the swimming pool. We thought it was hot but the waiters thought we were crazy!

Andrew, what a fun find! And coincidentally, we lived just around the corner from this spot. How was your trip to Malta with your grandchildren?

It was good fun Tricia but not a lot of sightseeing. A beach and pool holiday!
