A statue of the nutty old bloke in Alcala de Henares, the birthplace of Cervantes. A nice city just east of Madrid.

Nice. I was in Greece last summer and the windmills were brown. I like the white Spanish windmills you’ve shown here, Andrew. Thank you for sharing.

Never been to Patmos but I was in Mykonos last year. How did you find it? Too many cruise ships for my liking and a bit over priced!

Yes, I would enjoy going back to a lesser known island. Patmos had its charms. I really enjoyed Crete and Rhoades this time. Got away from the crowds and absorbed the sights and smells. This summer I will be going to Spain and hope I can find some quiet spots.

The touristy spots. I take students on educational traveling trips. 😊 Madrid, Seville, Barcelona. I have never been to Spain. Looking forward to it.

I find windmills to be fascinating subjects, much the same as I find lighthouses.

I love photos of windmills and yours are no exception. not a single one in my photo archives. I think that shall have to change.

You will need to go to Spain or maybe Holland. We have a lot of windmills in Lincolnshire. A lot of the land is below sea level and they were once used to drive the drainage pumps. Redundant now of course and a lot of them are converted to domestic dwellings!
