  1. What a fun post Andrew. We have a friend with his own beach hut in Devon and are very envious.

  4. The beach huts in my town (none as smart as your examples) all have names, clever and funny; examples – Romeo & Julihut, Broken Hutted, Helmhut Lang, Huttie Jacques. In fact, you can see some of them on https://travels-with-my-camera.blog/2017/04/02/sunday-walk-on-isle-of-wight/. I would love one, but nowadays they are the same price as a small house used to be. I console myself by thinking that prices may drop soon as children no longer seem to want to dig sandcastles or play beach games by the water, preferring to be indoors with a screen in front of them!

  5. There is one beach in Melbourne that has a long row of huts. They seldom come up for sale but when they do they bring as much as a fairly decent suburban house would bring. But they are really quite spectacular.

  6. Always amused by these beach huts, Andrew. A very British thing, I think. It’s fun that they painted in such bright colors with each one being unique. –Curt
