i love every minute i’ve spent in the pubs of ireland, each one is unique and yet the same in that they were so welcoming and friendly. thanks for sharing these

I don’t know if you know the Flann O’Brien poem The Workmen’s Friend, the first stanza of which goes:
When things go wrong and will not come right
Though you do the best you can
When life looks black as the hour of night
A pint of plain is your only man
(worth looking it up for the rest – it’s a great Irish poem about ‘the black stuff’.

Several visits Norm
I once went on a stag day out which was based on the board game Monopoly and the aim was to visit a pub in every street on the board. We didn’t make it!
