  1. This is Margaret territory! Oddly enough I’ve never been to Wakefield or Bradford cathedral.

  2. Well, Andrew. I may be your only Riponian Reader, so I have to comment. You’re not wrong about the coffee shops: though heaven help the one that tried to get away with instant coffee. I need mine freshly ground, freshly brewed, and strong. Charity shops are over-offered too too. Though not banks. They’ve nearly all gone. Blame the lack of independent shops on the fact we have been allowed too many supermarkets in town. But there are gems if you know where to look: sadly just not on the Market Square, apart from one. But what I really hold against you is that you didn’t call on us on your journey. After this, you may never get another invitation ;).

  3. Don’t know Ripon too well but Wakefield was a regular overnighter when I was working. I always enjoyed staying there. Also, I’m still reeling with your audacious cheating on “Q”…I know there’s not many cathedrals in places starting with Q but to choose that particular pun!? The audacity of it!
