Today we were going to Sigulda, a tourist must see town, about an hours mini-bus ride away from the city. It was still raining when we woke up, which was a disappointment but after breakfast we all set off nicely refreshed after a good nights sleep.

Yes, I have been to Sigulda too, Andrew, but only on a bus tour which stopped at the ‘folk song park’. Did you get there?

Don’t think I did that, we went to a castle and a country park and the Latvian Ethnic Museum near Riga.
Apart from the journey there, the destination sounds worth the effort. I’m still wondering how anywhere near Hull or Folkestone vaguely resemble Switzerland too!!
Sounds very unlikely I agree!
