  4. I like doors. Each one hides secret lives. These are wonderful. I especially like the last one, the blue and the one before it with the hand.

    • Thanks. Blue doors are normally associated with Greece rather than Spain where the widespread use comes from an ancient belief that the sky-blue shade of turquoise has the power to keep evil away. It is believed that the radiation of the colour composes a sort of invisible shield, which prevents the approach of bad spirits.
      The Amish in Pennsylvania also have blue doors for the same reason (apparently)
